Fields of Faith drew more than 250,000 students to football fields across the nation to share their faith in Christ. An initiative by the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Fields of Faith encourages students to read the Bible, pray, preach, and share testimonies, reports Fox News.

FCA at Hofstra University President Julianna Braniecki shared that, “We have Bible studies where we can come together and talk about how our passions for Christ and our passions for sports connect are able to experience life through that.”

Braniecki said her faith is important to her and joining Fields of Faith on October 10 helped strengthen her faith and grow as a Christian. “Last night at Hofstra, we had the pleasure of hosting our first Fields of Faith event…It was really a powerful experience.”

In Brownwood, Texas, 2,600 students flocked to Gordon Wood Stadium for the annual, student-led event where they listened to worship songs, testimonies and preaching, according to Brownwood Bulletin.

“It was successful,” said Brownwood Area Representative Kurt Newton. “We were pleased with the turnout. We were excited about the kids who came down on the field to make decisions.”

It was the turn of Bradley County High School in Cleveland to host this year’s Fields of Faith, an event which rotates through three campuses in the county. Thousands of middle school and high school students gathered for a night of worship and prayers. Here, 150 students professed their faith in Christ, reports Baptist Press.

“It’s a great time for all of our student ministries to come together under one night and one stadium,” said Curt Duncan, high school pastor at First Baptist Cleveland. “It’s a great picture of unity for all of our student ministries to come together and all the student pastors to each have a role, to each have a lane, and then get to see God do His thing.”
